Excessive Heat Watch and Advisory Issued Monday, 8/2/21, through Wednesday Evening, 8/4/21

The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Advisory for San Diego County Mountains effective Monday, 8/2/21 at 10:00 AM until Wednesday, 8/4/21 at 8:00 PM. High temperatures in the 90s below 6,000 feet expected. The National Weather Service has also issued an Excessive Heat Watch for San Diego County Deserts effective Tuesday morning, 8/3/2021 untilE280AFWednesday evening, 8/4/21. Dangerously hot conditions with high temperatures of 114 to 120 degrees possible. More forecast information and updates are available from the National Weather Service . Extreme heat will significantly increase the potential for heat-related illnesses, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room if one is available, stay out of the sun and check up on relatives and neighbors by telephone, video conferencing or if in person, while adhering to social distancing recommendations to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances. Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside.
