More than 400 customers in the area near the Border 32 Fire are without power. SDG&E reported the outage at 8 p. m. and says the fire damaged the electric system. According to CAL FIRE, the Border 32 Fire is 4,243 acres and 5% contained. The fire continues to threaten the communities of Dulzura, Potrero and Campo. Multiple agencies remain on scene fighting the fire and protecting homes. Mountain Empire High School at 3305 Buckman Springs Road is the overnight evacuation shelter. The temporary evacuation point at Jamul Casino is closed. Those evacuating with large animals can go to the San Diego County Department of Animal Services, 5821 Sweetwater Road, Bonita.
