CAL FIRE officials reported this morning that the Border 32 Fire has increased in size to 4,243 acres and is 5% contained. Fire Crews worked through the night to slow the spread of the fire. More than 300 firefighters are continuing to fight the fire today and officials said weather will continue to be a challenge. San Diego County SheriffE28099s ASTREA helicopters and CAL FIRE air resources are making water drops. Damage assessment teams are assessing structures. SheriffE28099s deputies are patrolling the area to watch for suspicious activity and keep roads clear for firefighters. The public is reminded to listen to authorities and follow orders for safety.
