The San Diego Sheriff's Department has announced an emergency message to shelter in place on December 3rd 2020 at 1255pm. There is a brush fire in the area of Sycamore Dr and Cox Rd in San Marcos. Emergency responders are addressing the situation.  A shelter in place notice has been issued.  Shelter in place means to remain at your location in a position of safety.  You are asked to remain alert to your surroundings, monitor local television and radio news stations for updates, and prepare to take action if called upon to do so.  If you need emergency assistance, call 9-1-1.  If you need additional information call the San Diego Sheriff's Department non-emergency line at 858-565-5200.
