Winter Storm and High Wind Warning for San Diego County Mountains, Coastal, and Desert Areas in Effect From Tuesday, 2/21/23, at 6:00 p.m. to Saturday, 2/25/23, at 3:00 p.m.

The National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Warning for San Diego County Mountains Areas, in effect from 6:00pm this evening until Saturday at 3:00pm. * Severe weather conditions are expected, including heavy snow. * Winds will gust as high as 90 mph. * Damage to trees and power lines is possible. * If you must travel, plan on difficult travel conditions. * Keep an extra flashlight, blanket, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. The National Weather Service in San Diego has also issued a High Wind Warning for San Diego County Coastal and Desert Areas until Wednesday, 2/22/23, at 8:00 p.m. * Damaging winds may blow down trees and power lines. * Winds are expected to reach 25 to 55 mph, with gusts as high as 95 mph. * Widespread power outages are possible. * Strongest winds will be in the late evening today into Wednesday Morning. * Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
