Valley Center Commercial Fire near Valley Center Road and Vesper Road, Evacuation Order and Shelter-in-Place Issued

Commercial Fire near Cole Grade Road in Valley Center is currently contained to a storage unit with continued structure threat. An Evacuation Order is in place, along with a shelter-in-place order. An Evacuation Order requires immediate movement out of the affected area due to an imminent threat to life. * There is extreme danger in your area. * You must leave now. * Do not wait. * Contact your neighbors and share information. Shelter-In-Place requires you to go indoors and shelter-in-place. Of special concern are persons with respiratory and other medical conditions that put them at risk. * Go inside and take any pets with you. * Close and lock all windows and doors. * Turn off fans, air conditioner, and furnace if possible. * Close the fireplace damper if not in use. * Go to an internal room without windows if possible. * Wait for an all clear.
