Grove Fire Update Most Evacuation Orders Lifted Red Cross and Animal Shelter Closed.

The San Diego Sheriff’s Department has changed most Evacuation Orders to Evacuation Warnings for the Grove Fire. A road closure at SR-97 and Chihuahua Road remains in place, though residents will be permitted through. Evacuated residents in these areas can return home but are strongly encouraged to remain ready to leave if fire conditions change. Both the Red Cross Shelter at Warner Springs High School and the Large Animal Shelter at Ramona High School have closed.

Please drive carefully, as firefighters will continue to be on scene to address hazards and reinforce control lines. Expect some noise and dust during the day.

Residents can access an interactive map with updated emergency evacuation information here: OES Emergency Map.
