The American Red Cross closed the shelter for Border 2 Fire evacuees.   The shelter at Cuyamaca College Gymnasium served more than 90 people Friday through Sunday. The San Diego County Department of Animal Services also cared from dozens of pets and animals on site at the evacuation shelter and at their Bonita Animal Shelter.

Any evacuees in need of further shelter assistance can call the American Red Cross at 1-800-RED CROSS.
