Tsunami Advisory Information Update


The National Weather Service National Tsunami Warning Center issued a tsunami advisory for the San Diego County beaches, ports, and low-lying coastal areas. The first waves are forecasted to arrive in La Jolla at 1:10 a.m. and in Oceanside at 1:15 a.m. The waves are expected to be less than one foot above the tide.

The tsunami has potential for stronger than normal currents at beaches, and in harbors, marinas, bays, and inlets. Waves may be dangerous for people in or near the water. Stay out of the water and away from beaches and waterways.

No evacuations have been issued for San Diego County Coastal areas.
